Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy describes the use of cookies and similar technologies on the Impronta platform (https://www.impronta.life), operated by Visualsense, in compliance with the GDPR, the ePrivacy Directive and the Guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante) of 10 June 2021.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites send to the user's device, where they are stored and sent back to the same websites on the next visit. They are divided into technical cookies (necessary for operation, for which no consent is required) and non-technical cookies (e.g. measurement or profiling cookies, which require the user's prior consent). Similar technologies, such as the browser's localStorage, perform comparable local storage functions.
2. Cookies used by this site
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
impronta_sid |
Technical — first party | Session cookie: maintains user authentication and browsing security (HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax) | 7 days | Not required |
impronta_consent |
Technical — first party | Stores the user's choice regarding consent to measurement cookies (accepted/refused) | 180 days | Not required |
_ga, _ga_* |
Measurement — third party (Google Analytics) | Aggregate site usage statistics, with anonymised IP address. Installed only if the user gives consent through the banner; without consent they are not loaded | Up to 24 months | Required |
Note: Google Analytics cookies are present only if measurement is active on the platform. When it is not active, the site uses only the technical cookies listed above and the consent banner is not shown, as it is not necessary.
3. Similar technologies (localStorage)
The site uses the browser's localStorage exclusively for technical purposes: for example, to remember that the introductory tutorial of the community area has been completed, so it is not shown again. This data remains on the user's device, contains no tracking identifiers and is not transmitted to third parties.
4. Third-party cookies on external pages
During specific operations, the user may be redirected to pages of third parties that install their own cookies under their respective policies, over which the Operator has no control:
- PayPal — during subscription payments (PayPal cookie policy);
- Google — during sign-in with a Google account (Google cookie policy).
5. Consent management
Where cookies subject to consent are used, a banner is shown on the first visit allowing the user, with equal ease, to accept or refuse. Closing the banner without making a choice amounts to no consent: no measurement cookie is installed.
The choice can be changed or withdrawn at any time through the "Manage cookies" link in the site footer, which reopens the banner.
6. Managing cookies through the browser
The user may also manage or delete cookies through their browser settings. Disabling technical cookies may impair the operation of the site (for example, preventing account access). Instructions for the most common browsers:
