The BodyGraph is made up of energy centers, gates, and channels. Each one tells part of your story.
Your Human Design BodyGraph is calculated from your exact birth date, time, and place. Using astronomical ephemeris data, the precise positions of 13 celestial bodies (Sun, Moon, Earth, the planets, and lunar nodes) at your moment of birth are determined.
These positions are mapped onto the Mandala Wheel, a 64-gate system based on the I Ching. This determines which gates and channels are active in your chart. A second calculation is made for your design moment, approximately 88 solar degrees before birth, representing your unconscious component.
The intersection between personality gates (conscious) and design gates (unconscious) defines your centers, channels, type, authority, and profile: the complete map of your energy.
Every day, planets move and activate different gates in the sky. Impronta calculates these positions in real time and overlays them on your personal BodyGraph to show you how the day's cosmic energy interacts with yours.
When a sky gate completes one of your hanging gates, a temporary channel forms, an energy not normally present in your design but felt on that specific day. This can temporarily define new centers and open new qualities.
Impronta tracks these movements day by day, building a weekly map of your temporary activations and identifying the planets that have the most influence on your energy field.

Centers are the energy hubs of the BodyGraph. They can be defined (consistent energy) or open (receptivity and conditioning).
Gates are the entry and exit points of centers. Each gate carries a specific energy and connects to another gate to form a channel.
Channels connect two centers through a pair of gates. When both gates are active, the channel is defined and energy flows.
